Position Description:


Support the Data Architecture, Data Governance, and Business Intelligence teams by translating business requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical data models.


Develop and extend logical data models to represent ONE Gas business data; including advanced concepts supporting super/sub-types and documentation in supporting business & metadata glossary.

Develop or review physical data models to ensure logical data model alignment, and to support persistence in integration architecture database components.

Develop conformed dimensions, facts and summary/aggregate table structures for implementation in Enterprise Data Warehouse and in support of related tabular models.

Support Data Architecture and Data Governance initiatives.

Perform data quality and analysis tasks for specific projects using Enterprise Data Hub integration platform and profiling tools.

Identify opportunities to deploy existing solutions in other business areas.

Coordinate and communicate development activities with other team members, infrastructure personnel, vendors and management.

Follow defined change control and compliance procedures associated with software development, including all required documentation and governance standards.

Interact with business users via consulting and training to ensure effective use of technology solutions.

Provide technical leadership and mentoring to other team members.

Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in MIS, computer science, mathematics, other related field, or an equivalent combination of formal education and the following job related experience to include:

Strongly prefer use of ERwin data modeling toolset, will considerer experience with similar tool

Experience using Data Governance Tool

Experience in software development and programming concepts/techniques.

Experience working with database management systems.

Strong business/data analysis skills required; as well as working technical knowledge of SOA, Data Hub architectures and EDW/Analytics.

Experience with basic infrastructure technologies and the ability to understand/communicate impacts resulting from development activities.

Experience directing and training other project members.

Experience interacting, advising and communicating effectively.

Experience developing information, conducting meetings and making presentations.
