When we meet

OKWIT meets monthly on the last Tuesday in Tulsa and the last Wednesday in OKC for leadership luncheons, networking or workshops.

Each one of us has had ambitions that can be straight up daunting. Taking the big picture and turning it into manageable steps is an art of itself.

Join us as Fatin Kareem, QA Analyst, shares her personal story on how she spent several years working toward her dream to have a better life for herself and her family. After Fatin speaks, we will host a workshop to help those big dreams seem possible again.

What: EPSCoR Women in Science Conference When: October 23, 2018 from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm Where: Science Museum Oklahoma in Oklahoma City   Girl Scouts Western Oklahoma needs your help! Our STEM Coordinator, Sara Wilkins, is presenting an astronomy-themed activity booth at the annual EPSCoR Women in Science Conference this October. There will be around 1,650 6th – 12th grade girls in attendance who are excited to learn about STEM. No astronomy or STEM experience is required! We offer volunteers the opportunity to donate at least 2 hours of their time. Of course, you are more than welcome to stay all day! Entrance to the Museum the day of the event, breakfast pastries & coffee, and a box lunch w/beverage are provided to all registered booth participants free of charge. Please let us know if you want to participate by September 14, 2018 so we are able to get you registered for the event.   Please contact our Volunteer Development Specialist, Ann Matheny, if you are interested!
