Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Provide tier 1 support for any Information Technology (IT) incident reported to the service desk.
  • Maintain technological requirements of all employees at Tulsa County.
  • Respond to customer requests for IT services within a reasonable time frame while meeting service level agreement (SLA) requirements.
  • Diagnose various IT issues and escalate matters appropriately if a timely resolution cannot be reached.
  • Communicate effectively and tactfully with customers, co-workers, and vendors.
  • Assist with password resets, end-user access requests, and any other identity management requests.
  • Follow existing processes for proper deployment methodology and maintenance of all personal computers (PC).
  • Document all end-user queries within the help desk system to ensure improved community knowledge base.
  • Provide on-call 24/7 support for critical areas on a scheduled basis.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED; and over one year of satisfactory full-time paid employment in an Information Technology position.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Skill -Skill in analytical problem-solving, customer service, and interpersonal communication.
Knowledge -Knowledge of HP and Dell personal computer hardware; in mobile device platforms including iPhone, Android, and Windows; of Windows Operating Systems, Mac Operating System, and various applications including Microsoft Office Suite; and of audio/video troubleshooting including video conferencing equipment.
Ability -Ability to learn new technologies quickly and with minimal guidance; to follow and compose, process, and procedure documentation; and to interact positively with customers as well as upper level management.
