Description

The Associate Director will lead day-to-day operations for the Tom Love Innovation Hub’s OK Catalyst programs in the Tulsa metro and surrounding areas. This position is a key member of the Innovation Hub staff, working closely with the OK Catalyst Director and staff. The Associate Director will support the Director in all efforts focused on collaboration, training, mentoring, and commercialization to improve Oklahoma’s performance in the SBIR/STTR program. They will lead Tulsa area outreach, marketing, networking, mentoring, and training for OK Catalyst.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with OK Catalyst Director to identify strategic goals and adapt OK Catalyst programs to the needs of the Tulsa metro area communities
  • Lead OK Catalyst initiatives in the Tulsa area to coordinate/support various statewide and regional OK Catalyst programs
  • Support the Director in the strategic planning and execution of regional networking and mentoring initiatives in support of OK Catalyst and the Hub of the Heartland partnership
  • Generate new relationships between OK Catalyst and other groups to grow the reach and influence of OK Catalyst
  • Direct outreach to corporate, government, and small business groups in the Tulsa are to help identify program participants
  • Engage with our statewide and national network of partners to market and execute programs
  • Interface with university students/faculty/staff/alumni, community partners, and public agencies in the Tulsa area in support of OK Catalyst initiatives
  • Track data and analyze performance of OK Catalyst initiatives in the Tulsa area
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/job related experience, AND
  • 18–24 months experience working with startup companies, universities, entrepreneurial ecosystem partners

Preferences

  • Master’s degree 
  • Experience with leading entrepreneurial support programs, technology transition, venture capital, product development, and commercialization
  • SBIR/STTR program experience

Supervision

  • Will supervise Oklahoma Catalyst team student employees

Special Instructions
