OVERVIEW
The Salesforce Administrator is responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of the organization’s Salesforce system. The Salesforce Admin provides technical expertise in the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Salesforce platform that support the organization’s applications. Responsibilities include reporting, data input and output, technology management, and end-user training and support.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Salesforce Administrator will be responsible for the entire Salesforce platform and:
- Expands, modifies and develops a long-term and sustainable data models.
- Explores all options using Salesforce Lightning Components to solve problems before using Apex.
- Performs maintenance operations weekly, monthly or as needed for the purpose of ensuring efficient program operations.
- Daily administration, troubleshooting and technical support for the Salesforce platform.
- Responsible for the creation of change management processes and communication of all system changes to the end users.
- All aspects of user and license management including new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, and public groups.
- Responsible for data quality and deduplication efforts using validation rules, clean data practices, setting data standards/polices.
- Generation of custom reports, report types, dashboards and general data analysis that comply with the monitoring and evaluation plan through Salesforce and/or Power BI which may include automated reporting.
- Prepares and cleans data for import/export using the data loader or other import tools.
- Salesforce configuration changes, including (but not limited to): Workflow, Process Builder, fields, page layouts, record types, and custom settings.
- Documentation of all system processes and training guides as needed.
- New and existing user training.
- Stays current on all release notes and communicate any new features or changes to the organization.
- Prepares and distributes monthly reports for Diversion Hub administration.
- Creates ad hoc reports requested by Diversion Hub administration.
- Attends seminars, conferences, in-service trainings and staff meetings as required.
- Other related duties, as assigned.
SKILLS
Individual must possess the knowledge and the following skills and abilities or be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
- Proficiency in a Salesforce ecosystem, data imports and exports, APIs, and reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications with an emphasis on database and spreadsheet applications.
- Experience managing medium to large data sets.
- Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to varied roles and job responsibilities by utilizing problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability using a life cycle management process for implementation of changes in technology.
- Ability to perform a variety of professional tasks including, but not limited to, technology services representative on various committees or task forces.
- Demonstrated ability to excel both independently and as a team member in a lively, collaborative environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills with a demonstrated ability to make difficult concepts easy to understand.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
At minimum possess a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field from an accredited college or university and have demonstrated management experience. Salesforce certification preferred (or other demonstration of in-depth Salesforce knowledge and experience).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to sit over long periods of time and be able to talk, hear, sit, stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl climb stairs, lift and or move items of up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Must have excellent command of English language and grammar, both verbal and written. Must be able to manually operate and use a computer. Must be able to clearly hear and understand telephone conversations.
