Describe the type of work you do:
Information Assurance, Cyber-Security Awareness and Outreach (Creating an Information Security Awareness and Education program for campus, helping with Governance and Risk Management)
What led you to a career in technology:
I enjoyed working with computers and wanted to major in something in the Business College
Why are you an OKWIT member?
I enjoy being around other women in technology, and have a passion to recruit more people to the STEM fields. I feel this organization can make an impact on bringing awareness and encouragement to future ladies in technology.
Tell us about your favorite book, TV show, or movie:
I love all of the John Grisham novels although I’ve never had a desire to be a lawyer, it’s interesting to read about them.
What type of music do you listen to?
A little bit of everything, whatever my mood is – reggae, 90’s rap, country, 80’s easy listening, Disney, 70’s soul, pop, 90’s rock bands – I even listen to sports on the radio at times!
If you had a day off with no responsibilities, how would you spend it?
Sleeping in and reading a book or going to get my nails done.
What is your favorite app?
Currently – Any List, helps me with To Do lists, grocery lists, and I can share it with my husband
What would we find in your fridge?
Ground turkey, squash, yogurt, leftover pizza or chicken, string cheese
If you could change one thing in today’s society, what would it be?
Inequality and the misinterpretations that come with it.
